About Us

We believe in serving our associates, clients, and community in everything we do.

Company History

Our Beginning

In 1949, eight members of the Jaycees Civic Organization saw a need for quality, well-paying jobs in their community. These individuals came together to plant the seed of Tusco Manufacturing & Fabrication. During the years since, the company has grown by expanding multiple times and becoming a leader in the custom retail display industry. But at Tusco’s heart, we still have the same goal – to serve our community with quality careers while also positively impacting our clients’ business.

Our Commitments

CEO Mike Lauber believes that Tusco’s unconventional founding has played a large role in how we find better ways to innovate for our clients.

Mike served on the board of directors of Point of Purchase Advertising International (now known as the Shop! Association) from 1986 to 1996, chaired the annual Marketplace Trade Show in 1992, received the Industry Achievement Award in 1996, the President’s Award in 2004, and was elected to the POPAI Hall of Fame in 2008.

Along with his dedication to the industry, Mike is dedicated to his clients, his associates, his community, and his family. Tusco began offering flexibility in scheduling for our associates, something nearly unheard of just a few years ago, which allowed parents to work part-time while their kids were in school. He also played leading roles in local economic development initiatives, educational, and community organizations, and always emphasizes the importance of innovation and making a difference.

Tusco has also been instrumental in raising more than $800,000 for Project Lead The Way, an innovative science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) program in our local school system. Looking to the future, in both innovation and workforce, has been a cornerstone of Tusco’s success.

TuscoMFG nimbly and reliably partners with solution-driven clients from design to delivery of custom metal fabrications.

Our Certifications

ISO 9001:2015 Certified Logo

ISO 9001:2015 with Design

This designation shows our commitment to our clients’ projects and to meeting their exact needs. There are four major areas in which our ISO Certification sets us apart from others in our industry:

Systems and processes ensure quality is consistent throughout each lot and repeatable from job to job.

ISO certified manufacturers are always looking for ways to reduce scrap and waste. Fewer defects and reworks mean faster delivery and lower costs.

Increased efficiency, lower reworks, and continuous improvement allow ISO certified manufacturers to coordinate each step of the process better, resulting in higher on-time delivery rates.

Customer satisfaction – ISO certification is focused on ensuring the quality of work is consistent and meets the customer’s needs. The processes provide improved on-time delivery and potential for cost reduction, resulting in greater customer satisfaction.

UL Safety Standards

UL 48 safety standards apply in all cases where our team is designing signage that requires lighting such as LED, fluorescent, incandescent, and HID. This allows us to fabricate and then assemble displays into full-functioning units that meet UL 48 requirements. This speaks to our breadth of capabilities in areas like hardware insertion, electrical wiring, and screen printing.
