Powder Coating And Finishing

Intro to Powder Coating

When showcasing products, you want your finished display to be eye-catching and resilient enough to stand up to the test of time. Your products and displays represent your brand and convey your core message to your customers. This makes every aspect of the project an opportunity to shine — metaphorically shine, but maybe literally shine too.

The level of finish on a display speaks to its overall quality and durability to fading, chipping, abrasions, and corrosion. Our advanced powder coatings enhance your display; highlighting attractive features and holding several advantages as opposed to paint finishes.

Tusco's powder coating dry finish uses polymer resin with reinforcing agents that protect your project's surface from harmful conditions. Before application, the surface is prepped and cleaned to ensure adhesion and final quality is not affected. The finish is then applied evenly with electrostatic spray guns and then baked in a gas-fired oven to effectively "set' the coating in place. It is suitable for multiple materials (glass: plastic, metals; etc.), and the end result is a hard, even finish that is long-lasting and cost-effective.

Our powder coatings are available in several different colors and textures, providing many attractive custom options for aesthetic appeal. Since powder coatings do not use solvents, they are flexible and can hold up on surfaces that tend to bend or expand without any cracking. Their bright, smooth appearance endures over the long run, making powder a cost-effective option.

Will Powder Coated Metal Rust?

Powder coatings are resilient and maintain durability against harsh chemicals that may cause cracking; chipping, abrasion, or rust. The finish's protective barrier allows the metal to remain free of rust for years.

How Long Does Powder Coating Last?

When using proper preparation and application techniques, powder coating finishes can hold up for as long as 15-20 years. Its longevity and resistance to weather, corrosion; and other harmful conditions make powder coating a desirable option over regular paint finishes.

What are the Differences Between Paint and Powder Coatings?

Powder coatings do not require a solvent to keep filler and binder parts in liquid form, but rather are applied electrostatically. It is also cost-effective and more environmentally friendly than paint options since it can be recycled and produces less hazardous waste.
